The iGrill is the first grilling and cooking thermometer and App for iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad. It’s a combination of a free downloadable app, and a small thermometer with Bluetooth capabilities. You can not only track the temperature remotely, but also predict cooking times thanks to a trending graph.

I recently tried out one of these units, and it works as advertised. After a brief setup (typical Bluetooth pairing procedure), and downloading the app, you are ready to go. Simply insert the probe into the meat, and you’re ready. The temperature acts like a stand alone thermometer, but is also broadcasting information back to your phone or iPad. Simply run the app to see the current temperature.

Range is pretty good, certainly good enough to grill or BBQ outside, while enjoying the party inside. You can also set alarms so that you are not constantly having to pull out your phone.

I just received a new cover from Empire grill covers and wanted to give you my thoughts. The cover I got was designed for a large cart style BBQ, but it fits fine on my offset smoker. It’s good quality, nice and thick, and has some great extras.

It has cinch straps which let me attached it to the pit so it won’t blow off. Nice touch for sure. Also, it has a little vented area, its shielded to keep the rain out, which should cut down on the mildew too.

Here’s the BBQ Grill Cover I’m using.

Here’s a great gift idea for the dad who has everything. A 1-year pig-of-the-month club membership! Every month they will receive a collection of BBQ pork products (pulled pork, ribs, etc.) sauce, and other goodies. Shorter subscriptions are also available.

Don’t need a monthly pork fix? You can also purchase individual items, frozen and delivered to your door via the magic of dry ice. Just heat and eat!

I recently got to try some “Key West” flavored ribs, and some pulled pork stuffed hamburgers. Both were delicious!

All you guys will want to check out The Man Cave and their huge selection of specialty meats and other products guys will love.

They offer a huge selection of brats, perfect for the grill, in a wide away of flavors. For example:

Jalapeno Pineapple Brat

Bacon Cheeseburger Brat

Jamaican Jerk Brat

Tequila Lime Chicken Brat

My favorite, the black and blue brat – made with real stout beer and Blue Cheese! Here’s some tips for cooking them. Make sure they are completely thawed when cooking. Place brats on grill at a medium-low heat and grill for 20-25 minutes. Flip every 5 minutes until the casing is firm and the color has darkened. If the brat starts bursting, you’re using too much heat. Move to a cooler spot on the grill.

They’ve got other meats as well, like giant frogs legs, ribs, steaks and more. You can also find grilling supplies, and accessories.
